The Brooklyn Nets are supporting the New York mobile sports betting bid by Fanatics and Penn National Gaming, sources tell PlayNY.

Nets co-owner Clara Wu Tsai, wife of Joe Tsai, is close with Fanatics executive chairman Michael Rubin. Wu Tsai, Rubin and New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft joined forces on the Reform Alliance, a fight for criminal justice reform.

Fanatics, which was valued at $18 billion Tuesday, is expanding its reach into the sports betting space.

The New York Yankees, Buffalo Bills, Buffalo Sabres and NYCFC aligned themselves with a superbid from massive sports betting operators DraftKings, FanDuel and BetMGM, among others.

New York legalized online betting earlier this year and received bids to operate under that law with a deadline of Monday.
