Rivers Casino & Resort Schenectady is closing the year with a bang. Its December promotions will culminate with $40,000 in cash giveaways on New Year’s Eve, including a $25,000 cash drawing.
$25K for 2025 promotion
The Rivers Casino Schenectady $25K for 2025 December promo awards drawing entries for Rush Rewards members who earn points at slots, video poker and table games throughout the month. Members receive one entry for every 25 points earned at slots and video poker and two for every 25 points from table games.
The drawing will occur at 11 p.m. on New Year’s Eve night, Tuesday, December 31. Members can accrue points all December until 10:45 p.m. on the night of the drawing.
One winner will earn $25,000 cash. The winner must be present and must claim the prize within three minutes.
New Year’s Eve $15,000 Hot Seat Madness and more NYE festivities
What better way to prepare for the $25K drawing than to head to Rivers Casino Schenectady early on New Year’s Eve? In addition to getting those final drawing entries, players will be eligible for the New Year’s Eve $15,000 Hot Seat Madness.
The Hot Seat Madness promotion runs on December 31 from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m., awarding five winners $500 cash each hour. All Rush Rewards members actively playing at a slot or video poker machine are eligible to win.
Rivers has all the boxes checked for New Year’s Eve, too. All guests can enjoy free live music and party favors across the property for free all evening.
- Local band Grand Central Station will play at Van Slyck’s Bar from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m.
- DJ MixitupNY will have the dancefloor going at the Landing Hotel lobby from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m.
- David Gleason will provide live entertainment at Dukes Chophouse from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m.
In addition to the live entertainment, Dukes Chophouse will have a three-course prix fixe dinner for $125 per person, plus tax and gratuity. Advanced reservations are required, and Dukes will also offer its regular menu.

- Tuesdays (noon to 8 p.m.): His & Hers Gift Giveaway for members who earn 100 points.
- Wednesdays: Members 55 and older can earn a free coffee or fountain drink. Live music is also played from 2 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. at Van Slyck’s.
- New members will receive a free gift upon signup. Current members who refer someone new can earn up to $25 in slot play.
- Members with a higher tier status at any Saratoga area casino can receive a courtesy tier match to Rivers Black Card until December 27
