June has begun. Summer is coming. And the Powerball jackpot has creeped toward $200 million.
Nearly two years have passed since a New York resident claimed the Powerball jackpot. Now, a New York Lottery player looks to join the list.
The Powerball jackpot stands at $184 million ahead of the June 4 drawing, equaling out to about $109.3 million for a cash payout.
Players must match all five white balls plus the Powerball in order to win the jackpot, which carries odds of 1 in 292,201,338. Anything can happen, though. After all, just last month, a couple in Arizona claimed the $473.1 million jackpot.
Check back here following Saturday’s drawing at 11 p.m. ET to see the winning numbers.

$1 million Powerball ticket sold in Garden City
New York came one ball shy of boasting a Powerball jackpot winner a week ago.
Only two tickets in the country matched all five white balls, one sold in Florida and one in New York. The prize: $1 million.
According to the New York Lottery, Garden City Super Pumper on Long Island vended the winning million-dollar ticket for the May 28 drawing.
While it came red ball short of becoming a super life-changing ticket, it will surely still have an impact on that ticketholder’s existence.
Another big draw game win via Cash4Life
More recently, a lottery ticket matched a big-time prize in another draw game known as Cash4Life.
As the name implies, that winner will earn, well, cash. For life.
One second-prize-winning ticket was sold for the June 2 Cash4Life drawing at AA Express Mart in Mount Vernon. Similar to the May 28 Powerball, this ticket came one matching ball short of the jackpot — $1,000 a day for life.
That said, runner-up isn’t too shabby. The ticket matched five numbers (but missed the Cash Ball), resulting in $1,000 a week for life.
NY Lottery scratch-off game pays big
Draw games aren’t the only lottery offerings that can pay out big. A Brooklyn-based LLC can attest.
Tuckerhowerton LLC claimed the $10 million top prize on the New York Lottery’s 200X scratch-off game. The company opted for the single lump-sum payout of $6,114,124.
Purchased at Novato’s Grocery in Brooklyn, the ticketholder defied the odds by matching their numbers to the winning numbers, then scratching of the massive 200X symbol to win 200 times the amount shown. How much did they defy the odds? Try 1 in 3,501,640.
According to the New York Lottery, another $10 million prize remains unclaimed.
