FanDuel Casino is preparing for a leadership change. Managing director Asaf Noifeld said he will leave the company later this year. He plans to stay on for a few more months first.
For New Yorkers, the move matters. FanDuel Sportsbook remains one of the biggest names in US online gambling, and executive changes at major operators can shape product strategy and long-term market direction.
The announcement also arrives alongside fresh signs of strong US iGaming growth from FanDuel’s parent company, Flutter Entertainment.
Asaf Noifeld Confirms Planned Departure
Noifeld confirmed his exit in a LinkedIn post on June 10. He called it “the right moment for the next adventure.” He said he will remain with the business for “a few more months.” His official exit is expected later in 2026.
He has led the FanDuel Casino business since May 2022 and spent more than four years in the role. Before FanDuel, Noifeld spent more than eight years with PokerStars under the Flutter Entertainment umbrella. Earlier in his career, he also worked at 888 and Comverse.
Why This Matters Beyond One Executive Move
This is primarily a personnel story, but it also lands during a period of continued growth for FanDuel Casino in the broader US iGaming market. That makes the transition notable for industry watchers, including New Yorkers tracking major online gambling brands. Online casino play is not a New York market story the way sports betting is, but FanDuel’s national profile makes it worth following.
According to Flutter, FanDuel held a 28% share of US iGaming gross gaming revenue at the end of 2025. In the first quarter of 2026, Flutter reported 19% year-over-year US iGaming revenue growth to $564 million. Average monthly iGaming players also rose 10%.
Those figures place Noifeld’s departure during a period of continued momentum for the business, not a downturn.
Business As Usual for Now, with Questions Ahead
As of now, there are no product changes, market exits, or customer-facing disruptions. The report did not identify a successor, as well. However, this kind of news signals a transition period within a major operator.
Leadership changes do not always lead to visible differences for customers right away. Still, they can matter over time. New leaders often reset priorities around casino growth, player acquisition, and broader digital strategy.
This is a company-level development at one of the most prominent US gambling brands, not an announced change to player accounts or services.
The next key question: Who will FanDuel name as Noifeld’s replacement, and when will that transition become official?
