DraftKings Inks Exclusive Sports Betting Deal With New York Giants

Pretty soon, when you think of the New York Giants, it will be hard not to think of DraftKings as well.

The two companies have entered into an exclusive partnership, and for New Yorkers, this new deal should enhance their daily fantasy sports (DFS) experience going forward.

Details on the DraftKings, Giants partnership

DraftKings is now the official daily fantasy sports, iGaming, and sports betting partner of the Giants.

Ezra Kucharz, DraftKings’ chief business officer, said the following about the deal,

“The New York Giants have continued to be a fantastic organization to work with over the years, and we are excited to expand our relationship as the Giants’ official exclusive sports betting, iGaming, and daily fantasy operator. Both organizations remain committed to customer experience through enhanced product offerings and authenticity and look forward to joining forces across platforms as the highly-anticipated NFL season gets underway.”

The companies intend for the deal to boost both customer experience and engagement throughout the NFL season. The partnership also includes a free pick ’em game that will be available to Giants fans every week.

In addition, fans can expect to see DraftKings’ logo throughout MetLife Stadium during home games.

As online casino and sports betting in New York remain illegal, Giants fans will have to cross the border into New Jersey to take part in the online sports betting components of the deal and bet on the NY Giants.

However, fans can play online DFS games legally throughout the state of New York.

Pending litigation may change the status of DFS in the state, but for the time being, it is legal and ready for Giants fans to enjoy.

The deal also includes a first-of-its-kind virtual SportsLounge. The lounge will be open on Giants’ game days. According to the release, it will provide attendees with “unique and innovative ways to engage on all DraftKings platforms”.

What about Bills and Jets fans in New York?

To date, neither the Buffalo Bills nor the New York Jets have made similar partnerships with gambling companies. However, this type of deal isn’t new for DraftKings.

In addition to the Giants partnership, DraftKings has deals in place with the Dallas Cowboys and New England Patriots.

With capacity limits on attendance at games for the foreseeable future, this idea could be a winner. Fans will now have new and fun ways to engage with their favorite teams. The Bills and Jets may want to hop on this trend, too.

If sports betting in New York does get the momentum it needs by being included in the state’s revenue bill, the Bills and Jets could be next in line. Potential legalization of sports betting in New York could lead to many more deals like this, and not just for NFL teams.

For now, however, Giants fans can enjoy all that comes with this latest partnership.
