At Last, New York Reaches Nine: Bally Bet NY Rolls Out Online Sportsbook

Bally Bet launched its online sportsbook in New York on Thursday, the entity announced.

As a result, all nine approved NY online sportsbooks are now up and running in the Empire State. A fitting time, as well, considering July 8 stands as the six-month anniversary for the market.

As noted in a Bally Bet NY statement to PlayNY:

New York is the second state to utilize Bally Bet’s new 2.0 sportsbook platform, which offers an updated design, intuitive screens with quick links to popular bet types, live scoring, and data visualizations, among other improvements.

After lengthy wait, Bally Bet enters NY sports betting market

Bally’s executives had said they were perfectly fine with starting several months after NY online sports betting initially launched. Bally’s had said it planned to launch before July in its latest earnings call, but ended up doing so shortly after.

In addition, Bally Bet executives said the company plans to take a cautious approach in terms of promotional and marketing spend in NY given the state’s 51% tax rate.

Bally Bet NY will be available to customers before the start of the NFL regular season. It is launching during the slower portion of the annual sports betting calendar. MLB stands as the only major professional sport in season.
