Seneca Resorts & Casinos is investing $8.9 million in a new Seneca Sports Lounge at Seneca Niagara Resort & Casino, bringing sports viewing, dining and in-person betting amenities into one space at the New York property.
Construction is underway, with completion targeted for May 2027, according to Yogonet’s Oct. 21 report. A separate opening date has not been provided.
Sports Lounge Will Include Betting Counter And Kiosks
The lounge will occupy space in the resort’s west concourse near the Bear’s Den Showroom. The location previously housed Blues Burger Bar and the 8 Clans gift shop.
Plans call for a sportsbook lounge with club chairs and a walk-up bar, along with a sportsbook betting counter and betting kiosks. The venue will also include a bar seating up to 21 people and a restaurant area with 115 seats.
A 98-foot video wall will anchor the sports-viewing setup, supplemented by additional video displays throughout the space. For visitors, the planned layout combines places to watch games, eat and access retail wagering services. The report does not identify a betting operator or technology partner.
Sports memorabilia display cases, team logos burned into dining tabletops and sports-themed ceiling, column and seat coverings are part of the design. Lacrosse-inspired elements will pay tribute to the Haudenosaunee’s role in introducing the Creator’s Game to the world.
Seneca Resorts & Casinos President and CEO Kevin Nephew said the project would make the resort “bigger and bolder” and bring game-day energy to the property every day.
Hotel Renovations Have A Separate 2027 Timeline
The sports lounge is one part of a broader investment program at Seneca Niagara. The resort is also undertaking a $47 million renovation of 594 hotel rooms and suites across 22 floors of its 26-story tower.
That work will proceed in three-floor phases, with completion expected in December 2027.
Seneca Allegany Resort & Casino is receiving upgrades as well. A $2.7 million renovation of Seneca Cafe was completed earlier this year, while a $5.8 million upgrade to the Thunder Mountain Buffet is expected to finish in November.
For Seneca Niagara visitors, the lounge’s May 2027 completion target and the hotel project’s December 2027 target are separate milestones. Neither should be treated as a confirmed lounge opening date. Anyone using the planned betting amenities should set spending limits and gamble responsibly.
