The peak of summer also brought the peak of success for casinos in New York.

Breaking down July revenue by individual NY casinos

In a constant back-and-forth battle for the top spot, Rivers Casino Schenectady topped Resorts World Catskills as the industry leader. While the casino had its lowest table games total since December 2021, Rivers reported its second-highest slots total since opening in February 2017.

With $17.3 million in July revenue, Rivers became the first NY casino to top $1 billion in lifetime revenue.

Resorts World Catskills is some $52 million away from joining Rivers after reporting $16.3 million in July. Resorts enjoyed its highest slot revenue total since October 2022, while poker represented the NY casino’s highest total since August.

Other noteworthy items include Tioga Downs reporting it second highest total revenue since opening in December 2016 – missing out on the March record total by less than $4,000. Tioga also had its best-ever month for table games and third-highest slot revenue total.
