If you’re looking for a casino job in New York, an event at Rivers Casino & Resort Schenectady will be the spot to be on March 28.
One of four commercial NY casinos, Rivers is slated to host a hiring event from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the casino’s Event Center.
With almost 50 openings to fill in a variety of positions, available jobs range from entry-level positions at hourly pay to salaried slots in management throughout all shifts.

The Rivers Casino Human Resources team will hold on-site interviews who express interest in a variety of available positions.
Careers range from security officers to dealers and gaming supervisors. From food and beverage to hospitality and marketing. Opportunities abound for a career at Rivers Casino.
Applicants must be at least 18 years old for some positions, and a minimum of 21 years old for others. The casino’s Human Resources team strongly encourages applicants to bring their resumes.
Prospective employees will undergo criminal background checks. But they will also need to obtain gaming license approval from the state while displaying personable and positive attitudes as well as scheduling flexibility.

Rivers Casino also offering gaming academies
On top of the hiring event, Rivers will also stage two academies to train individuals interested in becomes casino dealers.
The facility holds openings for full-time and part-time dealers. And to properly train prospective employees, Rivers will put on its Dealer Academy starting April 24 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. The free event runs six weeks, limiting its enrollment to 20 people.
In addition, Rivers will host its Poker Dealer Academy, an eight-week training program that holds 12 spots for interested parties.
Those interested in become casino dealers at Rivers should visit its website and complete an inquiry form. The casino has yet to set a date for the Poker Dealer Academy. But after submitting an inquiry form, Rivers will reach out at a later time to announce the dates once agreed upon.
