Caesars Sportsbook and New York Racing Association (NYRA) Bets announced Thursday the formation of the new online horse betting app Caesars Racebook.
The Caesars Racebook app will be available for download this spring, according to a release, and feature horse wagering across more than 250 tracks around the world.
The app will also “offer players all the additional benefits of NYRA Bets, including race replays, handicapping insights and more.”
NYRA president and CEO Dave O’Rourke said in a statement:
“NYRA considers it a core responsibility to grow the sport by increasing consumer access to world-class horse racing both in New York and around the country. Pairing the world-renowned Caesars brand with the rapidly growing NYRA Bets wagering platform is an ideal way to launch Caesars Racebook, which will soon deliver all the NYRA Bets tools and advantages to the Caesars customer base.”
The announcement comes at a time when a bill that would allow fixed-odds horse racing to be available on NY online sports betting apps is currently in committee. That bill would also allow kiosks to be placed at arenas, stadiums and racetracks across the state.
Other New York horse racing partners
In May 2021, NYRA Bets partnered with BetMGM to become the operator’s first horse racing partner.
Fox Bet is also an NYRA partner. The sportsbook Fox Sports reached an eight-year deal with the NYRA to air the Belmont Stakes in 2023. Fox also has a 25% equity interest in NYRA Bets that could expand due to a 2021 media rights partnership.
