The New York Yankees continue to bolster their sports betting presence in the Empire State.
One of most recognized sports franchises in the world inked an agreement with Bally Bet Sportsbook to make the operator an official NY sports betting partner of the Yankees.
On top of that, the Yankees also adopted several other “official” partners:
- Monkey Knife Fight, daily fantasy sports
- Bally Casino, iGaming
- Bally Play, free-to-play gaming
- Bally’s Casino Atlantic City, casino
Details of Yankees partnership with Bally Bet NY
This deal with the Yankees represents Bally’s first sports team partnership in New York.
“This is a great partnership that will give Bally Bet and our other Bally’s Interactive brands terrific visibility in New York,” Adi Dhandhania, chief operating officer of Bally’s Interactive North America, said in the press release announcing the partnership. “The Yankees’ history as a franchise and their popularity as a global brand speaks for itself.”
Per the agreement, Bally’s will have the ability to roll out LED advertising throughout Yankee Stadium. That includes signage along the outfield wall, field-facing walls on the Main Level bars, on the ribbon board on the Terrace Level as well as throughout the Great Hall.
“We are excited to begin this partnership with Bally’s,” said Michael J. Tusiani, senior vice president of partnerships for the Yankees. “We hope that their branding in Yankee Stadium along with their in-Stadium customer engagement will greatly strengthen Bally’s overall gaming presence in New York.”
Bally Bet settling, while Yankees lean into NY sports betting world
As the newest online sportsbook in New York, Bally Bet NY could certainly use any assistance bolstering its presence in the Empire State.
The sportsbook launched last month, becoming the ninth and final of the NY online sportsbooks to go live. In the four weeks since, Bally Bet NY has taken in $640,398 in handle.
The Yankees, meanwhile, have continued to show their willingness to dive into the legal sports betting waters. In fact, the franchise backed the super bid that included FanDuel, DraftKings, BetMGM and Bally Bet. The Yanks have also introduced a DraftKings Sportsbook Lounge for Legends Suite ticket holders.
On top of it all, Randy Levine, president of the Yankees, has openly supported the expansion of online sports betting in New York, not to mention the integration of NY sports betting kiosks at stadiums and arenas.
Could that mean Bally Bet kiosks will eventually pop up throughout Yankee Stadium? Perhaps, and possibly by 2023, according to some lawmakers.
