Winning the lottery is something that most people can only dream about. But for some lucky New York Lottery players, that dream recently became a reality.
The NY Lottery saw two more winners claim $10 million prizes in recent weeks. Both prizes were claimed via scratch-off lottery tickets.
A Staten Island man won one of the grand prizes back in March, but it was only announced on June 2. The second prize was announced June 28 and claimed by an LLC rather than an individual.
Two life-changing NY Lottery tickets purchased
Susantha Fleming purchased his winning ticket at H&H Food & Grocery in Graniteville in March. According to Staten Island Advance, Fleming walked in to pick up some milk, and he left with a life-changing scratch-off ticket worth $10 million.
Fleming was the first person to claim one of the five $10 million grand prizes offered by the 200X scratch-off ticket. He opted to take the lump-sum payment, which resulted in him taking home $6.33 million after withholdings.
The most recent prize that was claimed on June 28 was done so by an LLC based in Great Neck. The company identified itself as “FMBoys3555.” The $10 million ticket was sold by Skyview Newsstand on College Point Boulevard in Queens.
The LLC also decided to take the lump-sum payment that totaled $6.51 million after withholdings.
This winning ticket was a part of the Colossal Cash game. As of this writing, there is only one more grand prize of $10 million available.
NY Lottery paying out massive prizes
While Fleming claimed the first grand prize of the 200X scratch-off game, there has since been another big winner.
On June 17, Joanne Masserelli claimed the second grand prize of $10 million. Currently, there are three top prizes remaining on the 200X lottery ticket.
In total, there were nine top prize winners throughout all the NY Lottery’s scratch-off games in June. Even though several top prizes have been claimed, there are still many ways to play NY Lottery games.
There are 90 scratch-off games available, with prizes ranging from $50 to $10 million. Whether you are looking to snatch the top prize or just get some extra pocket money, there is a game for you.
Ten draw games are also featured in the lottery. These come with a wide variety of costs and prizes, with some payouts venturing into the hundreds of millions.
The draw game with the highest available prize is the New York Powerball. The current jackpot sits at $101 million.
Drawings are held every Wednesday and Saturday, and the next drawing will take place July 3.
