The New York Yankees have become the first MLB team to sign a team-level partnership with Polymarket, MLB’s official prediction-market partner.

The agreement starts immediately and runs through the end of the current season, according to Yahoo Sports. Financial terms were not disclosed. Polymarket branding is expected to appear at Yankee Stadium beginning “any game now,” Polymarket president of sports business development Ari Borod said.

What the Yankees-Polymarket deal includes

The partnership will put Polymarket on LED displays throughout Yankee Stadium and on rotating home plate signage visible to fans in the ballpark and viewers watching on YES Network and Amazon Prime.

The two sides also plan to offer premium fan experiences, including batting practice participation and kids running the bases. Yankees senior vice president of partnerships Michael Tusiani said in a press release that the club was “excited to begin a relationship with Polymarket.”

The Yankees declined further comment beyond the release.

Why the deal stands out in sports gambling-adjacent news

The Yankees agreement adds to Polymarket’s broader push into major sports after the company reached a multiyear deal in March to become MLB’s exclusive prediction-market partner. Sources previously told Front Office Sports that league agreement could be worth up to $300 million over four years, with Polymarket paying MLB.

That MLB deal gave Polymarket exclusive rights to use team logos and marks. Since formally coming out of beta in May, the company has also seen increased trading volume on MLB games, according to the report.

The partnership also lands in the middle of a bigger regulatory debate. Prediction markets are federally regulated, but their sports-event contracts closely resemble traditional sports betting, which is regulated state by state. Platforms including Polymarket, Kalshi, and Robinhood have faced lawsuits, and critics have raised concerns about oversight and integrity.

Borod said Polymarket’s relationship with MLB and its integrity monitoring efforts, including work with Palantir, have helped reassure sports partners.

What New York readers should watch next

For Yankees fans, the most immediate change is visibility: Polymarket signage is set to begin appearing in the Bronx during games this season. What remains unclear is whether the partnership will continue beyond this year or expand into additional team-specific activations.

More broadly, the deal is another sign that prediction-market companies are gaining ground inside mainstream sports, even as legal and regulatory questions remain unresolved.
