BetMGM has announced a broad set of product and pricing updates for the 2026-27 football season, including sportsbook performance upgrades, new betting protections, weekly promotions and expanded rewards tools.
The operator said its football rollout includes faster page loads, smoother navigation and better responsiveness during live betting. BetMGM also said it is currently available in 31 markets with mobile and retail offerings.
New football-season features focus on pricing and bet management
Among the new features, BetMGM introduced BetDefense, which applies to eligible pro football player prop wagers. Under the terms described in the release, a customer’s stake is returned in cash if a player is sidelined by injury during the first quarter.
The company also highlighted Odds Flash, a pricing feature for college and pro football that offers premium spread pricing and sends real-time notifications when odds move. Cash Out functionality has also been expanded, allowing players to settle eligible wagers before the final result.
BetMGM CEO Adam Greenblatt said the goal is to give players “everything they need to make the most of football season.”
Promotions, rewards hub and retail contests are part of the rollout
The football package also includes Legendary Thursdays, a weekly promotion tied to Thursday night football, and Ultimate Teams, a free-to-play game with daily logins from Monday through Friday. BetMGM said Ultimate Teams includes a share of a weekly $50,000 Bonus Bets jackpot.
For new customers, the operator said its First Bet Offer provides eligible players up to $1,500 in bonus bets if their initial wager does not win. The release also points to football-themed casino promotions, live dealer offerings and 20 team-branded casino titles, depending on jurisdiction.
BetMGM said its newly launched Rewards Hub is designed to help players track tier status, access promotions and manage rewards. At select retail sportsbooks, the company will also host free-to-enter season-long Survivor and Pick’Em contests.
Responsible gambling message remains part of the launch
Alongside the football-season rollout, BetMGM and MGM Resorts International announced a combined $320,000 commitment to responsible gaming initiatives in September. The company said GameSense messaging is also being expanded across digital platforms and professional sports venues.
For New York readers, the announcement is most relevant as a product update from a major sportsbook operator rather than a New York-specific policy or market change. BetMGM’s release did not specify launch dates for each feature or detail which offers are available in each jurisdiction, so players may need to check market-specific terms before using them.
As with all gambling products, availability and promotional terms can vary by state, and gambling is limited to adults 21 and older where applicable.
