It’s hot outside, and getting hotter. But it’s cool and comfortable inside at Rivers Casino & Resort Schenectady. This is made even more inviting thanks to a number of giveaways and promotions in July.
Both the casino and sportsbook have a few offers this month for Rush Rewards members.
$25,000 Cash Dash giveaway every Friday night in July
Throughout July, Rush Rewards members will have an opportunity to win cash each Friday in the $25,000 Cash Dash. The casino will give away $5,000 each Friday evening, split among five lucky guests who have accumulated points playing slots, video poker, or table games.
In addition to that promotion, there are other ongoing ones as well. One is the Rush Rewards New Member Promotion happening throughout 2021. Guests first registering for Rush Rewards who earn 5 points on their first day of membership automatically unlock a mini-game on a slot machine in which they can potentially win up to 10,000 more points.
The Young at Heart Mondays promotion for Rush Rewards members aged 55 and older continues as well. Eligible participants can play a True Time Slot Tournament between 11 a.m. and 5 p.m. each Monday. The top 10 scorers each week split $5,500 in cash.

The casino’s sportsbook is also ready to accept wagers on the NBA, NHL, and Euro 2020 playoffs, plus the MLB, Wimbledon, and other ongoing summer sports.
The sportsbook will also be showing the pay-per-view of UFC 264 featuring Conor McGregor vs. Dustin Poirier on July 10. Patrons can watch the match for free and bet on it right there in the sportsbook.
Self-betting kiosks are open every day during the casino’s regular hours, 6 a.m. to 2 a.m. In addition, betting windows are open as follows:
- Mon-Thur.: 10 a.m. to midnight
- Fri.: 10 a.m. to 1 a.m.
- Sat.: 9 a.m. to 1 a.m.
- Sun.: 9 a.m. to midnight
Also happening this month is the Wager to Win: Hockey Edition promotion. Any Rush Rewards member who makes a single pro hockey wager of $25 or more at the sportsbook using the Rivers Bet Slip Builder wins an entry in a weekly drawing giving away a hockey jersey and Sportsbook Prize Pack. Drawings take place each Wednesday in July.
There will also be one more drawing the day after the Stanley Cup Finals conclude. For that one, the winner will receive a jersey, a Sportsbook Prize Pack, and a $100 StubHub gift card.
Restaurants open, live music for Fourth of July
Restaurants at Rivers Casino & Resort Schenectady are welcoming patrons as well. Newly added to the line-up of food options is Johnny’s To Go which just reopened July 1.
While the casino has renewed its pause on live entertainment, there will be live music this Fourth of July weekend at the Van Slyck’s bar. Previously announced performances by Neil Sedaka, Johnny Rivers, and Australia’s Thunder From Down Under will still happen, however, postponed until yet-to-be-determined dates.
Masks are optional for fully vaccinated guests of Rivers Casino Schenectady. Meanwhile those who have only been partially vaccinated or are not vaccinated must continue to wear them.
