It’s known as The World’s Most Famous Arena. Now, as legal New York online sports betting continues to lay roots, Madison Square Garden — the brightest stage in the NBA — has become a focal point of the biggest regulated betting market in the country.

Thursday night, with the New Orleans Pelicans coming to town to face the New York Knicks, three online sportsbooks in the Empire State have rolled out NBA-centric promotional offers.

From those at home to those taking the E train to the arena, bettors across the state can take advantage of these exclusive offers, courtesy of the burgeoning NY sports betting market.

FanDuel Sportsbook debuts Spread the Love promo in NY

The Knicks have certainly struggled to put up the points this season. Then again, they also have caught fire. There’s no real pattern, it seems, to their madness. And their 22-23 record against the point spread makes it difficult to decide which side of the spread to wager on.

With FanDuel Sportsbook NY, though, bettors won’t have to worry about that headache. With FanDuel’s signature Spread the Love promo, for every 500 users who wager on the Knicks, the point spread will move one point in the Knicks’ favor.

The spread started at -4.5, meaning the Knicks needed to win by five or more in order to cover. Since the promotion launched Tuesday morning, that spread has moved by over 140 points. More than 72,000 users have bet on the Knicks, pushing the spread to Knicks +140.5. If that stayed, bettors who took New York to cover would win so long as the Knicks pulled off the victory or lost by fewer than 141 points.

This promo ends at 7:42 p.m. ET, the scheduled tip-off for Knicks-Pelicans. FanDuel has capped the max bet at $50.

What’s better: You don’t have to wait to see where the line ends up. Every bettor will receive the final spread when it closes regardless of when the bet was placed.

Bet $10, win $200 with BetMGM New York

One of the official sports betting partners of the Knicks, and a recent entrant to the NY sports betting space, BetMGM New York has already plunged headlong into the Knicks’ waters.

Throughout the remainder of the NBA season, users of BetMGM can win $200 after placing a $10 bet on any Knicks game. Win or lose, that wager results in $200 worth of free bets with BetMGM, broken down into four $50 free bets.

These payouts will not be eligible for withdrawal, however. Users must wager those free bets, and if they win, then bettors can cash out winnings.

And hey, against the Pelicans on Thursday, Knicks backers might get the chance to double-down if they bet on New York to win. After all, the Knicks (22-23) have won 14 of 20 games against teams with sub-.500 records. Fortunately for them, New Orleans (16-28) has the third-worst record in the West and has gone just 5-12 against the East this season.

Caesars NY offering free NBA jersey with $100 worth of bets

One of the first betting apps to hit the New York market, Caesars Sportsbook NY also operates as one of the Knicks’ official sports betting partners. Throughout the end of 2021, Caesars also featured a popular promotion in which users could claim a free NFL jersey by only betting $100 during a certain window of time.

Now, through the end of the month, Caesars has given that offer an NBA twist.

Bettors who opt in and place $100 worth of settled bets will receive a gift card for a free NBA jersey. It’s important to note that users must opt in to take advantage of this promo.

If they do, they’ll have a shot at donning a brand new Julius Randle or RJ Barrett jersey well in time for the playoffs — or the draft, depending on how the Knicks close the year.
