DraftKings NY promo for Yankees-Red Sox

In baseball, with a 162-game regular season, it’s difficult for many fans to circle just one series or just one game as a must-watch. With Yankees-Red Sox, it’s not so tough.

And with this huge DraftKings Sportsbook NY promo, New York bettors can be prepared for great MLB betting action.

Users don’t even need a DraftKings promo code. All you need is to sign up for a new account for one bonus, then make a real-money deposit to unlock a second reward.

For starters, simply sign up for a new DraftKings Sportsbook account. Just by doing that, you will trigger a $50 free bet from DraftKings New York.

Then, make a real-money deposit. DraftKings will match your deposit at a 20% rate up to a total of $1,000. Do the quick math, and you could end up with $1,050 in bets.

It should be noted, though, that some might not unlock the full $1,000 deposit match. That would take full $5,000 funding in order to do that. Keep in mind, DraftKings NY credits customers with a 20% match. So a $5 deposit will result in $1 in bonus funds, $100 will trigger a $20 credit, and so on.

Breaking down New York Yankees vs. Boston Red Sox

The Yankees (60-23) own the best record in Major League Baseball by 5½ games. The lead already appears insurmountable in the AL East, as the Bronx Bombers lead the division by a whopping 14½ games. As a result, DraftKings has pegged the Yanks as the frontrunner to win the World Series with odds set at .

The race for the league’s best record still seems achievable for the Yankees, who need to go 57-22 the rest of the way in order to eclipse the 1906 Cubs’ mark of 116 wins in a season.

But, one game at a time. And it starts with this AL East showdown with the Red Sox. Boston (45-38) sits in a third-place tie, half a game back of the Tampa Bay Rays in the division but still in near the top of the Wild Card standings. The turnaround has been incredible, especially considering the Sox have gone 35-19 since starting the year with just 10 wins in 19 games.

Led by Rafael Devers (.330) and Xander Bogaerts (.311), the Red Sox lead all of baseball with a .261 team batting average and 191 doubles. There’s little doubt that Boston can swing it.

However, New York is about as well-rounded as you could ask. The MLB leaders in home runs (139) and ERA (2.90), the Yankees can seemingly do it all. As showcased earlier this week when New York pummeled the Pittsburgh Pirates 16-0 for the franchise’s biggest shutout victory since 1960.

Best bet: New York Yankees -1.5 run line

One of the more difficult bets these days is against the Yankees. And in the second game of this series, honestly, New York lucked out a bit.

Initially, Michael Wacha expected to make the start for Boston, a hurler who leads Red Sox starters in ERA and opponents’ batting average. On Friday, though, Boston will send out Connor Seabold for this fourth-ever appearance in the bigs.

Seabold performed relatively well in his previous start, striking out four and allowing just one run on six hits in a 4-2 Sox win five days ago. But in the outing before, Seabold got roughed up: Seven runs on nine hits, including three home runs, in less than five innings against the Toronto Blue Jays.

With Aaron Judge, the MLB leader with 30 home runs, and Anthony Rizzo, with 22 homers, potentially back, the Yankees could be at full force at Fenway.

Even if Judge doesn’t play to his MVP caliber (he is only a .179 hitter at Fenway Park, the third-lowest at any stadium in his career), the likes of Giancarlo Stanton can more than make up for it. Stanton has hit .379 in Boston, the highest at any ballpark for his career. Add in the hot hitting of Josh Donaldson, who has two home runs and six RBI in the past two games, and New York’s lineup is fierce.

Then factor in Yankees starter Nestor Cortes, who ranks in the top 10 in MLB with a 2.44 ERA en route to a 7-3 record while limiting opponents to a mere .199 batting average.

All this appears to add up to a no-doubt Yankees win, one potentially worthy of using a DraftKings NY bonus.
