The planned del Lago Resort & Casino in New York has announced it has partnered with Scientific Games Corporation to provide the company with its casino systems solutions.
The resort also announced a pair of job fairs slated to be held in August.
Del Lago is a new commercial casino under construction in New York’s Finger Lakes region (Tyre, Seneca County), scheduled to open sometime in early 2017.
The Scientific Games deal
Del Lago and Scientific Games signed a contract to “provide an integrated suite of its industry-leading systems solutions” for the new casino. Scientific Games’ SDS® slot-accounting system is the “foundation” of the package being designed for del Lago, according to a press release.
The casino is being built with a price tag of $440 million, with:
- 2,000 slot machines
- 85 table games
- A 10-table poker room (included in the table game figure.
“We evaluated several other companies before selecting Scientific Games to be our casino systems solutions partner,” said Jeff Babinski, Executive Vice President and General Manager at del Lago.
“A robust, secure, and integrated system was a necessity, but beyond that, we were most excited about Scientific Games’ industry leadership in innovative marketing and bonusing solutions that will help us attract, retain, and keep our guests engaged.”

Jobs at del Lago
The casino is getting ready to fill some of the hundreds of jobs in the casino. It will hire just short of 500 people to work as dealers, with two information sessions planned later this month.

The new resort, when completed, will immediately become Seneca County’s largest employer. A total of 1,800 jobs will be needed for the property.

Del Lago is close to two large upstate cities: Rochester and Syracuse.
