The casino at Resorts World Casino NYC
Resorts World Casino NYC is located just three miles from the JFK International Airport. Behind the casino, you’ll find the famous Aqueduct Racetrack, although the racetrack and the casino operate separately.
The casino is housed in a modern building and features three levels, each named for a famous New York City location — Times Square Casino, Fifth Avenue Casino and Central Park Casino. The total estimated space is around 225,000 square feet.
The thrill of Resorts World Casino NYC is best encapsulated by the sheer number of casino games, which overshadows almost every other casino in the US, except some of the biggest venues in Las Vegas.
In fact, there are over 7,000 games you can choose from, with more to come, according to the current renovation plans. Video slots alone account for around 6,000 titles, with the number of electronic table games at more than 1,300.
Unfortunately, Resorts World Casino NYC doesn’t have any live table games at the moment, nor does it feature a live poker room. Nevertheless, the variety of slots and e-tables will give you the option to try something new each time you visit. While there are no sportsbooks or racebooks on the premises, you can just hop on over to the Aqueduct Racetrack, which is right next to the casino.
As for promotions, Resorts World Casino NYC has a few each month. These usually come in the form of prize draws that you can enter after you’ve collected a predetermined number of reward points over a specific period. Promotional prizes include cash and free play.
Apart from periodical promotions, the casino runs a rewards program called Genting Rewards, which allows you to earn points each time you play. Later, you’ll get to redeem those points for various perks.
If you’re looking to enjoy video slot machines in New York, Resorts World Casino is a first-class option. Video slots are available on all three levels of the casino. There are around 6,000 slots in total, more than 3,000 of which are located on the Times Square Casino level. Another 2,800 are on the Fifth Avenue Casino level, with about 250 on the brand new Central Park Casino level. The range of video slot machines include some of the most popular titles in the industry:
- Wheel of Fortune
- Quick Hit
- Triple Double Diamond
- 88 Fortunes
- Blazing 7s
- Green Machine
- 5 Treasures
- American Original
As if these video slots were not impressive enough, Resorts World Casino NYC has also announced that it will add more machines once the planned renovation has been completed.
The majority of video slots are designed for casual players, meaning that you can wager as low as one cent per pull. Of course, the betting limits can extend way beyond cents. If you’re feeling lucky and are looking to take a crack at the big jackpot, you can feel free to visit the Crystal Cruises High-Limit Room on the Times Square level or the Fifth Avenue Club on the Fifth Avenue level. Mind you, though, the latter features video slots where a minimum bet is $100 per spin.
While it does not offer any live table games, Resorts World Casino NYC has one of the biggest collections of electronic table games in the entire country. The casino’s 1,300 electronic tables include the following games:
- Single-zero roulette
- Double-zero roulette
- Three card poker
- Ultimate Texas Hold’em
- Sic bo
- Big Six Wheel
The emphasis here is on blackjack and baccarat. There are around 300 blackjack seats, with table minimums ranging between $5 and $100. The Times Square and Fifth Avenue levels, meanwhile, have several hundred baccarat seats, with around 50 more at the Baccarat Club, one of the high-limit rooms where table limits go between $50 and $100.
Note that the high-limit rooms are reserved for Gold and Platinum card members. Apart from baccarat and video slots, these feature blackjack, roulette, and video poker.
Genting Rewards is a loyalty program that all guests of Resorts World Casino NYC can participate in. To register, you simply need to visit the Genting Rewards counter on the first floor and show a valid ID, after which you will get a free membership card.
As a member, you will earn tier points from playing any of the casino’s games. You can exchange every 100 points you collect for $1 worth of credits that you can use for free play, food and drink, and retail purchases. You cannot exchange tier points for cash.
All members will receive the Classic card, and they can move their way up the tier list after amassing enough points. You will be notified by email of your current membership status and the number of points you need to collect in order to move on to the next level.
With each new level you reach, you will get better benefits. For instance, Platinum members will get access to high-limit rooms. Here are all the tier levels alongside the number of points that you need to collect in order to reach them:
- Classic — 0 to 99 points
- Silver — 100 to 299 points
- Gold — 300+ points
- Platinum — 10,000+ points, invitation only
Other membership benefits include the redemption of points for hotel stays, 24-hour concierge services, complimentary room upgrades, all-day parking, invitations to VIP tournaments, invitations to special events, exclusive pre-sales, priority lines at restaurants, birthday offers, a 24-hour membership hotline, and dedicated hosts.

Resorts World Casino NYC history
Resorts World Casino NYC officially opened in 2011, becoming the first commercial casino in New York City. In fact, it was only in the early 2000s that the Genting Group finally began constructing the casino near the Aqueduct Racetrack in Queens after a long period of bidding.
The casino quickly became a popular tourist attraction, thanks to the fact that it’s located near JFK International Airport. It currently employs thousands of people and says it hosts over 10 million guests per year.
The planned $400 million renovation of the casino that is set to take place in 2021 will see the addition of a 400-room Hyatt Regency Hotel, expansion of the gambling floors, and inclusion of new dining venues.
