If you’re from the Big Apple and play the New York Lottery’s Cash4Life game, you should take a second look at your recent tickets because you could be a winner.
The NY Lottery announced that a second-prize-winning ticket was sold in Staten Island for the May 4 Cash4Life drawing. The lucky individual hasn’t stepped forward to claim their winnings, but will be in line to receive $1,000 a week for life.
And that’s not the only notable lottery winner in New York of late.
Big Cash4Life winner yet to claim prize
Had the person won Cash4Life’s first prize, that comes with a $1,000 a day payout. By taking the second prize, the winner is guaranteed to receive $1 million minimally.
The golden ticket was sold at Reliance Wine and Liquor in New Dorp. The winning numbers were 1-6-13-16-36 and the Cash Ball was 3.
Cash4Life’s winning numbers are selected from a field of 1-60, and the Cash Ball ranges from one to four. Drawings happen daily at 9 p.m.
According to the New York Lottery, winners of draw game prizes of any amount have up to one year from the draw date to claim their winnings.
Powerball win goes to Westchester County resident
Elsewhere, a Powerball second prize of $1 million went to Everald Anderson of New Rochelle.
Anderson matched 6-14-16-34-66 from the drawing, but failed to get Powerball 25.
Anderson went with a one-time lump sum payout of $651,004 post taxes. Lucky Trading 486 in New Rochelle sold Anderson the lucky ticket.
Queens man banks $10 million prize
It’s not just draw games that have handed out big wins of late.
The Deluxe scratch-off $10 million winning ticket was claimed by Maojun Cheng of Flushing. Cheng bought the scratcher at United Fashion Gift Shop NY in Flushing.
Cheng opted to take a one-time lump-sum payment of $6.1 million after taxes. One Deluxe top prize is still available through the New York Lottery.
Back-to-back $5,000 a week for life winners
Reminiscent of the back-to-back College Football National Champion Georgia Bulldogs, two winners of the lottery’s Set For Life scratch-off game were recently announced on the same day.
The first: Old Forge native Albert Kiss, who purchased his ticket at Haver’s Nice N Easy in Barneveld. Kiss chose the single lump-sum payment of $2.3 million after taxes.
The second NY Lottery Set For Life winner is the Brooklyn-based LLC Rylex Partners. They stopped in for a bite to eat at Bionic Bagels & Deli in Brooklyn and decided to grab a scratch-off.
That proved to be a wise decision, as Rylex Partners landed a major payday. The group went for the $2.1 million single lump sum payment after taxes.
