To be clear, we’re not talking about incredibly slow, but there is a definite lag when you click on various links or drill down into games. It’s not a big deal a lot of the time, but it’s not ideal for live betting.
• Lack of customer support choices: If you never experience any issues with BetRivers, this will never be an issue. However, if something does go wrong, we wish there were more ways to reach out for help. Instead, you only can email or have a live chat. And while the hours for the help desk aren’t 24/7, they are from 9:30 a.m. to 2 a.m., which should be more than sufficient, at least.
• Newsfeed on the website: If you never use the BetRivers website, this definitely won’t be an issue, but for those of us who do, the constantly scrolling newsfeed is simply annoying. It displays players’ big wins and winning streaks, which can be disheartening as well when you’re going through a cold stretch. It just doesn’t add anything in our opinion, so we’d like to see it go.

• Teasers involve making two or more bets against the spread. But for teasers you are able to tweak, or tease, the lines for all the games you are picking. Obviously when the lines change, so do your odds.
• Round robins offer a way to make multiple selections, but have them combined in such a way that you can miss a pick and still win money. Round robins involve at least three picks, and the BetRivers app will group your picks accordingly; all you need to do is make the picks and then select round robin in your betting slip.
• Futures bets are long-term wagers on events such as teams winning the Super Bowl or Stanley Cup, or on individual player awards.

Is BetRivers the best sportsbook for New York sports bettors?

That’s a tough question to answer. It really depends on what you’re looking for.
